We are officially in the thick of music festival season! Coachella, Glastonbury, and Gov Ball may have passed already, but we still have Outside Lands, Capitol Hill Block Party, Lollapalooza to look forward to. Festival fashion has become an undeniable main focus for attendees (sometimes more than the actual musical artists?), and I love to see the trends that emerge each season.
Based on what I have been spotting on social media, IRL at Gov Ball, and the most recent fashion month, here is my report on what the wear to your next festival 🫡
Fantasy
Think mermaids, fairies, knights, pirates, and princesses meet music festival with flowing fabrics, chainmail, leather boots, nature motifs, and whimsical headpieces. We all need an escape right now.
Boho
Boho festival style is BACK baby. White lace, flowy dresses, statement belts and necklaces, fringe, crochet, oversized sunglasses, and Western accessories have been popular festivals looks this season.
Vintage Sporty
Athleisure meets vintage with a little bit of prep for comfy and functional festival outfits. Key pieces include throwback jerseys, polos, track pants, and slim sole sneakers.
Subversive
Ooo this one is my personal favorite. Subversive style is all about unconventional, deconstructed pieces, including asymmetrical tops, cutouts, errant ties, sheer materials, and unexpected layering.
Which festival style is your favorite? Let me know!
